EMS is funded by the Scottish Arts Council, and provides financial assistance to promoters towards the cost of live chamber music concerts through grants and/or guarantees against loss.

To be eligible for financial support, promoters must be not for profit organisations, and the concerts must be given by professional performers.

EMS does not support concerts by amateur performers or ensembles and does not provide support for performers who promote concerts in which they themselves take part.

Applications are now being invited for concert seasons 2008/09.         The criteria for applications are given in the Guidelines for the Funding of Music Promoters. To obtain a copy, please contact EMS.
